Adam Holloway has been an avid student of military history from an early age and has a particular interest in the Great War. He is the proud great-grandson of a 9th Battalion Anzac and an equally proud son of a Vietnam veteran. The stories of 10 other Great War soldier relatives fuelled a commitment to honour what these extraordinary men did for the freedom of others. He has a great love of travel and has completed several extensive research expeditions to western Queensland, and to the battlefields of France and Belgium where his family lived, fought and died. The result was his first book, Duty Nobly Done.
Adam has a Bachelor of Justice from Queensland University of Technology where he majored in Investigations and Policing. His patient and meticulous investigative research has been honed during more than 16 years as a Queensland Police Officer, including five years in the Criminal Investigation Branch. As an amateur battlefield historian Adam has also provided ‘Battlefield Research Services’, using his carefully refined skills and research databases to ensure that other descendants of Great War soldiers experience a rich and fulfilling journey to the Western Front.
Now, Adam has combined his passions in crafting incredibly engaging Western Front battlefield tours for his guests that will see them transported across oceans and time.
